Ma'a Nonu says Jonah Lomu's legacy as rugby union's first global superstar will live on through the current New Zealand side.
Lomu died suddenly at the age of 40 on November 18, just over a fortnight after the All Blacks had lifted the Rugby World Cup for the third time at Twickenham having beaten Australia 34-17.
Eden Park hosted a memorial for Lomu on Monday before his funeral in Auckland, although Nonu was unable to attend to club commitments with Toulon in the Top 14.
Instead the 33-year-old – who retired from international rugby following the World Cup win – paid a glowing tribute to Lomu on Instagram, and knows his memory will inspire future generations.

"To the 'gentle giant' that inspired us boys worldwide in the 95 RWC, to capturing the nation and taking on the world at the same time," he posted.
"You were always kind, caring, loving and generous to me- I thank you and love you.
"Above all you put everyone else first! Your legacy will live on! The ultimate big guy."
