Seven-time Super League Grand Final winner Kevin Sinfield will take up a new role as rugby director at the Rugby Football League (RFL) from September 1.
During an illustrious playing career Sinfield helped Leeds Rhinos to seven victories in the Grand Final, while also winning two Challenge Cups and the World Club Challenge on three occasions.
Sinfield made over 500 Super League appearances after making his debut in 1997 and briefly switched codes to play for Yorkshire Carnegie before retiring at the end of last season.
The 35-year-old has now returned to the game where he made his name to take up an administrative role with rugby league's governing body.

"I'm delighted to be joining the RFL," said Sinfield, via an RFL statement. "I am very grateful for the opportunity and really excited about working with some talented people.
"I'm aiming to help our sport achieve great things in the coming years both domestically and internationally.
"I believe it's important for our sport to have a strong international set up. With the World Cup next year in Australia and then potentially on home soil again in 2021 the coming years could be really positive for Rugby League.
Sinfield's role will see him lead the review of the RFL performance strategy and assist in devising a four-year England 2021 World Cup performance plan.
