Unfortunately, these things are everywhere, thanks to the many bad roads, so, they can not really be avoided.
Now, we can enjoy the abundance of this problem, all thanks to Lei Zuo, an associate professor of mechanical engineering, who has a specially-designed shock absorber.
Lei's absorber uses a unique gear combination that harvests vibrational energy from every potholes.
