Apparently, Gaga became engaged to her boyfriend, CAA talent agent Christian Carino, over the summer after he asked her father’s permission to propose, a source tells Us Weekly. The couple have managed to keep it a secret until now, which is pretty impressive.

However, don’t expect Gaga to walk down the aisle anytime soon: She’s been battling issues with chronic pain and the source says the couple is just focusing at the moment on helping her to get better.

Before her romance with Christian, Gaga was previously engaged to Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney, but the couple split in July 2016. However, she told fans on Instagram at the time that she didn’t believe that was it for them. “Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates,” she captioned a photo of the two of them, arm in arm, before announcing that they were on a “break.” “We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other.”

In September, Gaga admitted that she’s “in love” with Christian. “When I went backstage, Christian was by the stairs making sure I was okay,” Gaga said during a rainy performance in New York, according to Page Six.“The best part about being in love with someone is having them there to catch you if you fall.” Sources told Page Six at the time that the couple is “inseparable.”
