Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson won't be the only enormous Samoan flexing in his upcoming Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw . The movie star took to Instagram to announce that he'll be accompanied in the movie, due to be released August 2, by none other than Joe Anoai, otherwise known as Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns is part of the famed Anoai wrestling family and is signed to WWE, performing for its Raw, though he's currently on hiatus due to a battle with leukemia. He's also a former professional gridiron football player. And now, he gets to be The Rock's brother. Johnson's touted the "exclusive" news that Roman Reigns will play his sibling in Hobbs & Shaw, firmly planting himself in the ever-expanding Fast & Furious universe.
"The brothers roar," Johnson captioned the photo of him and Roman Reigns filming on the set of Hobbs & Shaw, both shirtless and looking rather intimidating. "Good times droppin sweat and spillin blood with my family, @RomanReigns ."
Johnson added in the heartwarming post: "Im very proud of his focus, effort and authentic performance in our movie for his very first time on film. Im also very grateful to spend this quality time with my cousin here in the islands as he takes life one day at a time to recover from leukemia."

And the A-list Hollywood star gave a shoutout to their shared origins in WWE, where Johnson first made his name in the world as The Rock. "His perseverance and humility battling this challenge has inspired our entire family as well as millions around the world in our beloved @WWE Universe," Johnson said of Roman Reigns. "Cant wait to see the 'Big Dog' return back to the ring - his positive & focused mindset to return is straight up next level. Til then, this sacred Samoan ground you stand on is nourished with our ancestors blood. Today, we nourish it with yours."
