New Patriotic Party’s Member of Parliament for Tema West Irene Naa Torshie Addo will bid farewell to Parliament in 2016, having lost the primaries on Saturday.
Carlos Ahenkorah polled 502 votes as against Torshie’s 273 to represent the main opposition party in the constituency come the 2016 general elections.
Adwoa Amoakoa, the third contender, managed a woeful two votes.
Prior to the polls, Ahenkorah was disqualified following accusations that he had not nurtured the party in the constituency.
