Ex-Warwickshire bowler Jack Bannister dies

Highly respected broadcaster and former Warwickshire quick Jack Bannister has passed away.

Former Warwickshire fast bowler and esteemed broadcaster Jack Bannister has died at the age of 85.

Bannister took 1198 wickets for Warwickshire in 374 first-class matches over an 18-year career with the county.

He retired from first-class cricket in 1968 and then became a highly respected broadcaster for the BBC.

Bannister was still employed as a cricket correspondent for talkSPORT when he passed away on Saturday.
