Police in Takoradi in the Western region have arrested four male friends from New Takoradi, a fishing community for attempting to use their fathers for money rituals also known as âsakawaâ.
The four boys had visited a fetish priest at Effiakuma, a community in Takoradi to assist them to make money within a short moment, Takoradi-based Empire FM reports.
The fetish priest gave the boys a ring to wear and warned them that should they lose their rings, each must kill their father in order to start making money.

William, who was the first boy to lose his ring mixed a powerful local detergent known as âakashieâ with his fatherâs stew.
His father, however, identified the poison just after tasting the food. After several interrogations, William confessed that he wanted to use his father for money rituals per the directive from the fetish priest.

Williamâs father reported the case to the Takoradi Police where the other boys were arrested Tuesday dawn.
The four are currently in Police custody. Police have also launched a manhunt for the fetish priest who is at large.
