Popular Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer Mandojo is dead.

The legendary artiste breathed his last in Dodoma after he was reportedly beaten to death.

Reports indicate that the singer was killed in a case of mistaken identity, with musician Anselm Tryphone alias&nbsp;SoggyDoggy confirming his demise.

"My heart is in great pain, I will miss you very much my brother and my friend. Rest in peace Mandojo, surely human life on this earth is very short. Sorry brothers, relatives and friends and I'm very sorry my brother @domokayatz God's work has no mistakes 🙏🙏🙏" Soggy Doggy stated.

Mandojo was killed just days to his birthday with fellow singer Domo Kaya also paying his tributes in a post that read:

"Daaaah MY SON I don't believe the 22nd of this month is supposed to be your birthday Aisee why! !! This is so sad Rest in peace my brother 🙏 May God give you eternal light friend, brother."

The singer teamed up with Domo Kaya to form a formidable music group that produced hits which made him a darling of his fans.

Give me, Wanok Nok and Dingi are among the hits that the singer released prior to his demise.

Mandojo wowed fans with his creativity, lyrical prowess and great voice, building a sizeable fan base and attracting crowds at his live performances.

Following his demise, fans took to social media to eulogize him, noting that his life was cut short in circumstances that should not have resulted in death.

Drama ensued at a church in Mwea, Kirinyaga county, after a woman claiming to be the wife of a pastor at the church interrupted a wedding in which her estranged husband was set to walk down the aisle with another woman.

All was set for Rev Chomba of Vision Beyond Living Gospel Church in Ngurubani to walk down the aisle with his new partner named Regina who is a clergy at the same church when the drama unfolded.

Armed with her five children, Rose brought the ceremony to a standstill in her bid to block Rev Chomba from walking down the aisle.

<h2>Previous wedding and cause of fight in church</h2>

According to Rose, their union was solemnized in June 2013 and remains valid.

"We&nbsp;went to church&nbsp;to solemnise our marriage according to the canonical rules and it was granted by a Kerugoya parish, so I wonder how he is wedding another wife without our knowledge," she explained.

A standoff ensued as the church’s security team resisted Rose’s attempts to stop the wedding with a section of the congregation and guests questioning her timing.

"We are wondering why they are coming at this time despite all the time they had to make objections during preparations," noted one member of the church who was not impressed by the turn of events.

An angry rose claimed that Chomba abandoned her with five children and moved in with Regina who he was set to walk down the aisle with today.

Previous attempts to resolve the matter had been futile, leaving her with no option but to show up on her estranged husband's big day.

She further accused him of planning to sell the family land after succeeding in abandoning the family.

"My mother had been struggling to take us to school. Now we suspect he wants to marry another woman so that they can sell our land and leave us with nothing," noted one of the children.

Police from Wanguru police station were called in to contain the situation.

"We were called by a member of the public after an alarm was raised that there was a fight in the church," Mwea East OCPD Patrick Nyaanga stated.

As sci-fi concept to build a railway on the moon has inched closer to reality with&nbsp;National Aeronautics and Space Administration&nbsp;(NASA) setting aside funds to bring the concept to life.

The Flexible Levitation on a Track (Float) is one of six projects chosen under Nasa's Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) program and could go on to become new space missions.

The lunar railway could open a new chapter in space missions, allowing astronauts to transport items and material more easily and paving the way for long-term human presence on the moon.

“We want to build the first lunar railway system, which will provide reliable, autonomous, and efficient payload transport on the Moon,” robotics expert Ethan Schaler of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California explained.

The project was first proposed in 2021 to revolutionize transportation and logistics for lunar missions and a sustainable lunar base by 2030.

“A durable, long-life robotic transport system will be critical to the daily operations of a <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/lifestyle/food-travel/time-and-locations-to-watch-the-april-8-2024-total-solar-eclipse/wzcd112">sustainable lunar base in the 2030’s</a>,” Schaler added.

<h2>NASA's lunar railway system to have no moving parts</h2>

The lunar railway will assist in the transportation of loads in varying shapes up to 110 tons in weight‚ primarily from landing zones to more permanent outpost settings.

NASA's initial design indicates that FLOAT will have no moving parts to minimize lunar dust.

It consists of magnetic robots levitating over a three-layer film track to reduce abrasion from dust on the lunar surface.

Speed is not of essence in FLOAT as the carts mounted on these robots will move at roughly 1 mph (1.61 km/h).

The robots will be kept afloat by a layer of graphite with a flex-circuit layer generating electromagnetic thrust to controllably propel robots along tracks.

“FLOAT will operate autonomously in the dusty, inhospitable lunar environment with minimal site preparation. FLOAT robots have no moving parts and levitate over the track to minimize lunar dust abrasion / wear, unlike lunar robots with wheels, legs, or tracks,” Schaler added.

The tracks have the ability to unroll themselves or to be reconfigured over time to match changes on the lunar surface.

“Its network of tracks can be rolled-up / reconfigured over time to match evolving lunar base mission requirements.” Schaler noted.

NASA has plans to establish a permanent lunar base for future space exploration and plans to send astronauts back to the moon&nbsp;as early as 2026.
