Vitamin E acetate, an ingredient added to THC-based products, has been identified as a “very strong culprit” in the vaping-related lung injuries that have sickened 2,051 people and killed 39, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday.

The number of people with lung illnesses linked to vaping has risen to 805, from last week’s figure of 530 cases, and 12 people have died, compared to a total of seven last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Thursday.
Many of those clinics, like U.S. Stem Cell, use extracts from fat. Others use patients’ own bone marrow, and some use cord blood or other birth tissue like amniotic membranes.
