Its not uncommon to hear many ladies these days, complain that guys are no longer acting in the gentlemanly fashion. The general rules of society have been bent so much that manners that were once thought of as outlandish and uncouth, are slowly becoming acceptable. Even among the upper circle.

This however does not mean there aren't those who still uphold the most ideal standards of society and interpersonal relations. A careful look would reveal there are some who still display the most polished and sophisticated manners, setting themselves apart from the norm with their ability to compose and conduct themselves properly in public.

Below are a few tips to help the guys, display some of the simplest geneltman behaviours, and not end up portraying themselves as what youths today call ''Fuckboys".

Rule #1: Yelling unnecesarily is totally unacceptable. In a case where calmness won't work, let actions speak for you (no violence).

Rule #2: Chivalry is not dead. Chivalrous acts like opening the door for the lady, or offering her your seat, definitely sets apart the gents from the rascals.

Rule #3: Be a man of your word! Don’t make promises you can’t keep or commit only to bail with no real explanation. Stand by your word! Not everyone might like this, but you won't be called a liar. Which is far worse.

Rule #4: Always be polite and sensitive when sharing your opinion. Even when the other person is sounding idiotic and absolutely insane, what sets you apart is how you either explain things, or walk away from the conversation.

Rule #5:  Handle rejection with grace and courtesy. Know when to throw in the towel and not pester a woman who has repeatedly rebuffed your advances.

Rule #6: Cat calls and groping are unnecessary and considered rude. No lady likes it when a guy does it to her or taps her butt,

Rule #7: Stalking in real life and on social media is totally wrong.

Rule #8: Except she requests to see how big your member is, do not send her a picture of your penis. Even if she does, request for a private viewing instead of setting ypourself up for blackmail.

Rule #9: There is no excuse to hit a woman! Even if she hits you. Its better to run from an angry woman and be called a sissy than to stand and beat one up, landing yourself in jail.

Rule #10: Contrary to societal belief, it's not advised to lead with machismo and brute forces… Better to learn to invest time for love and healing and compassion. It won’t make you soft; it’ll make you influential!

Are you finding it increasingly difficult to handle those pimples? Is your your face a mass of bumps and mountainous protrusions?

Here are five ways to naturally ease the discomfort and deal with the pimples.

1. Baking Soda Baking soda is a great option for clearing up blemishes. it’s cheap, it’s natural, and it doesn’t contain any  harmful chemicals or other ingredients.

The benefits of baking soda are many. It exfoliates, it reduces  inflammation, and it clears up skin. All you have to do is use warm water and baking soda to make a  paste. Then apply the paste to your skin like a mask. Leave it on for up to an hour, and then rinse. You will be amazed at the results.

2. Steam: Steaming is wonderful for your skin at any time, but particularly when you have pimples. The steam will  open your pores and allow your skin to breathe. This helps get rid of oils, dirt and bacteria trapped in the  pores that can cause infection or inflammation. Fill a large container with hot water and allow the steam to come in contact with your face for a few  minutes.Rinse your face with lukewarm water and, after drying, apply an oil-free moisturizer.

3. Lemon: Another quick way to get rid of pimples is the use of lemon juice, which is rich in vitamin C. Lemon juice  helps pimples dry up faster. Be sure to use fresh lemon juice and not bottled juice, which has  preservatives. There are a couple of ways to apply this remedy. Dip a clean cotton swab in fresh lemon juice and apply it to the pimples before going to bed. You can also mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and put it on  the pimples overnight. In the morning, wash the skin well with lukewarm water. However, this particular  remedy is not suitable for those with sensitive skin.

4. Ice: Ice can be used to quickly reduce the redness, swelling and inflammation of pimples. It helps in  improving blood circulation to the affected area, and in tightening the skin pores and removing dirt and  oil accumulated on the skin. You can use ice cubes or crushed ice, whichever is convenient. Wrap the ice in a piece of cloth and hold it on the affected skin area for a few seconds. Wait a few minutes and repeat the process.

5  Egg Whites: Egg whites provide a cheap, easy and quick way to remove pimples. They also eliminate scars. They contain vitamins and amino acids that help to kill pimples and re-build your skin cells. Separate, 3 egg whites from their yolks. Whisk them properly and allow them to settle for 3 minutes. Apply the whisked egg whites to the pimples using your fingers. Wait for it to dry then repeat  this 4 times. Then leave the final mask for 20 minutes, rinse off and apply a suitable skin moisturizer.

Still at the Basketmouth uncensored, the comedian also shaded Davido and Dbanj over their wins at the mtv music awards. He claims he doesnt know why Dbanj won an award, and said it was strange for Davido to have won over Wizkid for the best male act. He however apologized on July 23, 2015 on instagram saying it was all a build up to a joke and the video released was edited to make it look like it was a diss.

Moving on, Maje Ayida, husband to the popular On air personality Toke Makinwa has come out with an open apology to his wife for his actions ie, cheating on her. In his instagram post made on July 22, 2015, he expressed his regrets saying: I am writing to express my sincerest apologies to my wife. I was wrong, it is indefensible and I am sorry.I deeply regret what my wife and my family has had to endure. My behaviour has caused a lot of anguish to everyone. Though this matter has been very public in nature, it is a private issue and I would appreciate the opportunity to face it privately. According to our pulse readers, he sounded quite sincere in his apology.

In the last major story of the week, The sultry mavin singer Tiwa Savage has finally put to bed, welcoming a baby boy with her husband Tee Billz. Tee Billz made this announcement on the 22, of July 2015, teasing us with a picture of the baby's hand, with a caption that read; :'. Mavin boss Don Jazzy, also confirmed the news when he congratulated them on twitter, announcing that they had welcomed a baby boy.

Ceo Advanz makeovers Eric Gaga, is set to take the world by the horns. Having worked with directors like Unlimited LA, and celebrities like  Genevieve Nnaji, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, and other topnotch Nigerian entertainers, Eric is the go-to guy for the some of the finest video and runway make up.

How did you get into the business of makeup?

I owe most of what I know to the numerous questions I asked and still ask women today. I didn't learn the trade from any one person in particular. Thanks to the cooperation of my kid sisters, I used to practice what I found out on them and with time I discovered I had a natural talent at making women look good.

I began professionally in my second year at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, at a modelling agency in Awka. While I was there I had the opportunity to make up some Nollywood actors including Pete Edochie and Chioma Chukwuka ….. for a couple movies. I however didnt go full throttle until my youth service days about four years later when I worked for a skill acquisition agency, where I instructed and trained youth corp members, while working part-time with Makeup Designery popularly known as MUD. Here I met the head makeup artiste David Sucre who helped me set me on the path to becoming a celebrity make up artiste.

You have a degree in Mechanical engineering, why choose makeup over that?

I chose makeup over Engineering because of passion. It is something I always want to know more about, and be better at.I was taught if u want to go far in any career, passion must come first before hardwork.

Besides, I never liked engineering. I studied engineering because of my parents, and because I was the best in mathematics while in secondary school.The greatest motivation that made me take d bull by d horn was my pastor, Pastor David ifechukwu, He said I can be d best of anything if I desire and go for it. He taught me that what ever u constantly behold, u will eventually become.

Since you constantly behold a lot of women on the job *laughs*, how do you handle the opposite sex?

Wow. Thats not easy at all. I will say it's the kind of training i had before then, and God's grace that saw me through most of the temptations. Imagine having to deal with young ladies going nude in front of u, some flirting a with you and trying to seduce you.

My worst experience was when I was almost sexually molested by a client who is quite prestigious and well known.

Can you share this experience?

Naa, its in the past. Let's not dwell on that.

So what makes you different from every other male make up artiste in Nigeria?

I believe it is the passion for the job. Everybody knows it's not just about making the cash. Grace and passion made the difference. Besides, my works are outstanding and I put extra effort into the detail, taking note of how everyone's individuality affects how the make up comes out on them. So as much as possible, I work differently on everyone.

There are rumours that most male makeup artistes in Nigeria are gay. How true is this?

That is absolutely false. Though there exists a considerable number of gay makeup artistes, there are also many more who are straight and love women like the next guy.

What are the perks of being a make up artiste for you, aside the money and obvious self satisfaction you get?

I've gotten to work with some of the finest names in Nigerian Entertainment including Chidnma Ekhile, Praiz, Wizkid, Olamide, The Mavins  Crew, etc. Even international models including Jite Fasa.

Do you have some other business besides make up?

Well I run a company, Advanz cosmetics. It's a franchise with two luxury makeup line Jade and care line. We also render services , ie makeup, training, hair saloons. Advanz cosmetics is in 3 cities now , Lagos, Asaba and onitsha.

Quite the successful entrepreneur... So whats the future looking like for you?

I aim at working with the likes of Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Mariah Carey, etc. Generally taking the makeup passion international. I also plan on starting my own make up line very soon.

I can say, the future is quite bright.
