It didn’t take long for the fallout to begin; Fella Makafui posted the movie’s poster on her Instagram page asking her fans to ignore the movie. She stated that the production was a scam and that she had not featured in any movie with that title.

However, the producer of the movie, Samuel Degraft Yeboah, says he is disappointed in the actress’ actions, claiming she is lying.

“She is lying, Fella is not telling the truth. Honestly, I was disappointed when she put that post up and didn’t want to talk about it but you see, my brand is at stake. I cannot sink money into something and then allow someone who I gave a chance to, to ruin it like that.

“It takes a lot to build a brand so for her to say that, it is not a good thing and it should not be allowed,” he told Showbiz.

Explaining the issues, Samuel Yeboah said, “You know, when you are shooting a movie, you have a working title so when you are done, you either choose to retain that title or change it.

“For us, we didn’t have a working title so after the shoot, we sat down and thought of what name to give it, which is usually done. We remembered that there was a trending issue, so we gave it that name.

“When we chose that name, we tried getting in touch to tell her team the developments but none of them picked our calls. We were working with a timetable too and I had other things to attend to so we let it go, only for her to now think it wise to return my calls.

She stressed the need to give children the digital skills that they need to be able to survive, compete and thrive in the new world that is unfolding.

She added, “we think it is important that our children be introduced and proficient in the use of computers at a much earlier age.”

“Over 200 junior high schools have been equipped with computer labs around the country. Their teachers have been trained so that they can also train their students.

“In Ablekuma west 30 teachers have been trained, about 2,000 children have already been trained who intend to train their friends, and families and ultimately assist entire communities. I am pleading with the community to take charge of this infrastructure that is being provided, protect it, maintain it and use it,” she said.

Administrator at GIFEC, Kofi Asante said that the exercise was under a programme which will roll out for a period of 5 years,

He said, “we have a strategic plan to roll out from 2018 to 2022, and with that plan, we hope that by the end of the programme every junior high school would have been equipped.”

“Now with the NABCO programme we are going to run a shift programme so that when the kids are here, they will be taken care of by their teacher, and when they close the community will be taken over by NABCO trainees.

“These facilities that we put up in the schools are not only for school usage but also the community. The community can also take advantage of it and learn a lot of things,” he stressed.

Mr Asante noted “because we did not place much emphasis on ICT at the beginning of the whole programme of educating our kids, a lot of them have not got adequate skills. This is to ensure that those who are growing can have the skills, and even those who have already received formal education could also catch up.”

According to them, Dumelo who is a known staunch supporter of former president John Mahama has what it takes to the capture the seat which was being held by the NPP, for the NDC.

Addressing the media in Accra, spokesperson for the concerned branch executives of Ayawaso West Wuogon, Justice Tsepo stated John Dumelo will be the ideal candidate, to lead the party in the constituency.

“We are gunning for John Dumelo to represent the constituency in the forthcoming by-election. We all know Mr. Dumelo; he has been with the party for a long time, he is in good standing. He has been with us both good and bad times,” he said.

Mr. Tsepo added: “We think this is the right time for us to give the opportunity to [Dumelo to] lead the party in this constituency.

He said though the constituency is mourning the late MP, the NDC cannot sit idle without following due process, especially when the NPP.

“The NPP is preparing and in this case the NDC cannot sit idle and say because we sympathize with them so we will not take any step. So we are only following due process to prepare ourselves before the 60 days elapse,” he stated.
