NEW YORK — The Film Society of Lincoln Center turns 50 this year. To celebrate, the organization is holding an anniversary gala Monday and planning free summer movies. But most important may be what won’t be around for the festivities: The organization is dropping “society” from its name. Beginning Monday, it will be known as Film at Lincoln Center.
