Ghana's national team captain is the undisputed king of endorsement deals

Asamoah Gyan has been figure of international relevance ever since he burst unto the world of football's radar as a precocious talent at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Since then he has metamorphed his considerable international reach and appeal into several financial rewarding endorsement deals the likes of which has never been seen for  a  Ghananian sports figure

Globacom Limited is a Nigerian multinational telecommunications company headquartered in Lagos. The company were among the early commercial partners of the national team and Asamoah Gyan was at the forefront of the campaign, present on billboards from Accra to Lagos.

The supermarket chain partnered with Gyan for several years with one of their television adverts, involving Gyan trying to convince a little girl he was indeed the captain of Ghana, becoming one of the most popular in the history of Ghana television. Anybody remember " ..but I am Asamoah Gyan" ?

Royco seasoning cube also found use for Asamaoh Gyan in their television campaigns.

The local washing powder company signed a deal with Asamoah Gyan in 2015 and he has been an ever present on billboards, endorsing the product.

The bank signed with Gyan in 2014 as part of their larger sponsorship of the senior national team,Black Stars.

Angel Cream was one of the first companies to use Asamoah Gyan as a brand ambassador. They opened the gates for others.

The German sportswear giants became partners with Gyan after his left Lotto and it has proven to be a mutually beneficial partnership with Gyan endorsing their line of boots for the past five years.

Gyan is the brand ambassador for the water packaging company he owns with his brother.

Run is the latest endorsement deal on the ground; an energy drink.

Asamoah Gyan launched the Mama Vits noodles and rice in the latter parts of 2012 and has seen both products make a mark on the Ghanaian market on the back of his image.
