If time is a factor and you have to move at all cost, then ask for alternative routes that can save you some 10-15 minutes that using the main routes and wasting precious seconds.

Productive traffic habits

It is more rewarding to use the time you spend in traffic to perform a measurable task like reading a report or a book. In that case, you can at least report that the time spent in traffic was spent doing something tangible instead of wasted counting cars and watching building.

Bicycles and motorbikes

In emergency cases however, motorbikes and bicycles are the best options to navigate through the traffic but that calls for extra caution with regards to safety measures such as getting a helmet and riding on designated routes.
