Time of draw, where to watch it and all you should know about it

These are all you need to know about Russia 2018 World Cup draw holding on Friday, December 1.

The draw for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 1, 2017, in Moscow at the State Kremlin Palace.

The host, Russia, will be in Pot 1, and Nigeria alongside Morocco will be in Pot 4. The remaining three Africa – Senegal, Egypt and Tunisia, were placed in Pot 3.

It must be noted that participating countries were placed in these Pots based on their current FIFA ranking.

Who will anchor the World Cup draw?

FIFA confirmed on November 17 that the ex-England international, Gary Lineker, and a Russian sports journalist, Maria Komandnaya, will conduct the draw.

Schedule of the draw

The date of the draw is on Friday, December 1. For Nigerian football lovers, the viewing time is 3 p.m GMT (10 a.m. Eastern European Time).

For Kenyan viewers, it would be 5 pm, Ghana – 3 pm and South Africa – 5 pm.

Where to Watch It

For Africa, the draw can be watched live on the BBC Two, Fox Sports 1 and SuperSport 3. Also, the live streaming of the event is available via BBC Sports website, fuboTV and Kwesé Free Sports (Ch 285).
