Blues in New York were thrilled by the presence of two members of the 2010 Premier League winning Chelsea team, Michael Essien and Ashley Cole on Saturday when the two joined spectators for the weekend’s top liner between Liverpool and Chelsea.

The duo joined fans in a Chelsea-branded bus en route to NBC’s South Street Seaport where the game was televised live. They also posed for pictures and also paraded the streets with the EPL trophy amidst flag waving and chants from the Chelsea lovers.
The two Chelsea icons shared their Anfield experiences with the fans before predicting a slim win for their former employers.
They joined football pundits for the pre-match discussion before settling for the game which saw a Mohammed Salah opener cancelled by a fine finish from substitute Willian to end the game in 1-1 draw.
As part of the visit, the former Chelsea stars also joined the Chelsea Foundation coaches organize some sessions for kids before later showcasing their skills in a kickabout challenge with some NBC pundits.
