On November 23, 2015, a group of armed persons in military uniform raided the headquarters and the Kokomlemle offices of the main opposition party and allegedly carted some items in sacks from the offices including weapons during their operations.

The Acting General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has written to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to enquire about the status of investigations into a dawn raid at its party headquarters last year.

John Boadu noted in the letter that lawyers of NPP involved in the case have informed the party that the police attitude in the case has been lukewarm.

Eleven people were arrested in connection to the raid, however, they were granted bail of ten thousand cedis with two sureties and also signed a bond to be of good behavior.

Boadu noted in his letter to the IGP that, "We [NPP] will like to know the extent of work done on the criminal aspect of the raid.""Our lawyer in-charge of the case inform us that, the attitude of the Police in finding lasting solution to this matter has been lukewarm.""We are as per this letter asking for the status of the said incident for prompt decision and action," the letter noted.
