According to the Board, only tertiary education institutions are accredited to award diplomas or degrees to students.

Executive Secretary of NAB, Kwame Dattey said though the school does not have the NAB’s accreditation, the NDC's political school will not be recognised.

On Thursday, August 10, 2017, the NDC launched its political training institute to help its members understand the ideals of social democracy.

The main focus is to ensure that party faithfuls understand the principles and ideologies of the party.

According to the Director of Research, Dr. William Ahadzie, the institute will help members of the party to understand the principles of NDC.

Programmes at the institute will  include the philosophy of the party, history of the party, history of Ghana, constitutional studies, party management, political communication, leadership skills, elections and electoral systems.

But the Executive Secretary of NAB, Kwame Dattey in an interview on Accra-based Citi FM said "When somebody needs accreditation the person applies for it but to the best of my knowledge, they haven’t even applied for accreditation. I don’t know what type of school they are running. We deal with tertiary education institutions so if they are not dealing running tertiary education institutions they may not need to apply to us.

"We accredit tertiary education institutions that are going to award maybe diplomas or degrees but if they not going to run such programmes or they are not going to award diplomas or degrees which will be recognized then they don’t need to come to us."
