Nigerian singer reveals the stress she went through before getting a collabo with Sarkodie

Yemi Alade has revealed the struggle and stress she and her team went through before getting a collaboration with Ghanaian rap artiste, Sarkodie.

Recounting the struggle she went thought before getting the "Hand To Mouth" rapper, Yemi revealed on her Instagram page today (March 30) that she started chasing the rapper herself before involving her Nigerian and London team. She further stated that, it got to a point where she wanted to ask her fans to beg the rapper on her behalf to make the collaboration happen.

"Kai..@sarkodie1 showed me Pepper. !!I chased him,my Nigerian team chased him, my London team chased him ,I almost asked my fans to beg him to have my time," the "Johnny" singer revealed.

She further stressed "Our paths hardly crossed we were always chatting from distant parts of the world. One time we were both in London, OF COS WE STILL DIDN'T GET TO LINK UP."

Yemi did give up because she believes Sarkodie is a 'beast' and he is the only rapper she deemed great to put his verse on the track titled "Ego".

"I didn't give up,months passed but I knew sark the beast was the KINDA VIBE MY SONG #EGO on my #MAMAAFRICA Album needed. !! One blessed midnight, Sark sent me a WhatsApp msg, babe I will rap in my language but you will get it tonight, I promise," she revealed.

Elated Yemi Alade ended he revelation saying "He made my day, he made my album...lots of love Charle!".
