A report by IHarare has it that there are more women in the southern Africa landlocked monarchy than men, and many virgin girls have no hope of getting men to marry them.

In a statement attributed to his palace, King Mswati warned that any man or woman who defies his order risks being jailed for life, assuring that the government is more than willing to support men who will take up the challenge.

“Here’s the deal, marry at least five wives and you’re assured that the government will pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them” a palace source is quoted as saying.

The king is reported as saying the current state of women far outnumbering men, most of whom are virgins is a serious problem for his country, hence the drastic decision.
