Part of Tetteh Quarshie – Okponglo road caves in

Part of a major road of the $50 million <a href="https://www.pulse.com.gh/news/local/2-killed-in-accra-floods-after-downpour/6mze67w" link="null">Tetteh Quarshie-Okponglo</a> road connecting East Legon to the N4 Highway has caved in.

The incident happened at the Okponglo junction around the entry to the University of Ghana.

It is not clear as yet what caused the large sinkhole which has affected traffic on that stretch.

The $50 million Tetteh Quarshie-Okponglo road project was awarded to Sonitra Construction Limited in November 2006 and completed in 2009.
