The death of Ghana's top female dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns late Thursday evening has prompted shock around the country.

Known in real life as Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, Ebony was widely known for her hit songs "Poison" and "Kupe".

Social media is virtually freaking out as hordes of fans are yet to get over her loss.

Despite her short-lived career, Ebony will be remembered foremost for her musical legacy. Her spectacular concerts in the country earned her comparisons with international music acts.
