Davido – If

The Nigerian superstar enjoyed a hugely successful year with his first single of the year “If” rocketing on the continent and beyond. 

The music video racked a whopping 60 million views on YouTube.

Sauti Sol ft. Pato Ranking – Melanin

Kenyan Afro-pop band Sauti Sol was featured by the Nigerian dancehall artiste, Pato Ranking for the banger “Melanin”.

Olamide – Wo

“Wo” which was sung by Nigerian rapper Olamide in his native Yoruba language is up there with the best songs released on the continent in the last 12 months.

Sarkodie ft. Runtown – Pain killer


“Pain killer” by Ghanaian rapper and BET Award winner, Sarkodie who and Nigerian afrobeat artiste Runtown was a great hit.

Wizkid ft Drake – Come Closer


In what will go down as one of the greatest music collaborations, Nigerian star Wizkid and Canadian Grammy Award-winning rapper Drake dropped “Come Closer” which was peaked at number 58 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Wizkid's first charting single as a lead artist.

Mr. Eazi – Leg over

“Leg over” by Nigerian singer, Mr. Eazi was the DJ’s favourite for 2017 and it earns him a place in the top 10.
