Speaking to Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay show, the singer said his father shirked his responsibilities as a father and kept having children with multiple women without ever taking proper care of them.
“As I speak with you my father still impregnating other women to have more children. But even those ahead of me, my older siblings and the ones after me, he never took care of us” he lamented.
Kurl praised his mother for her efforts and taking up the responsibility adding that if not he wouldn't have gone to high school.
He said his mother sold everything she had in order for him to be enrolled in school yet even after his father refused to support him.
“My mother sold everything she had in her room just for me to go to school and without my fathers help, I completed school and had to face life, becoming the bread winner of my family” the artiste recounted.
Kurl later went on to win the fifth edition of MTN hitmaker in 2016 and released his hit song “Jennifer Lomotey” which featured Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie.
