The bug, which appears to be some kind of grasshopper, is still alive after it was tugged out. As it is removed it's legs and antennae can be seen tucked against its sides before unfolding as it emerged from the earlobe.
How the insect came to be inside the man's ear in the first place is unclear.
But there is little doubt that both parties are relieved their ordeals are over.
The video comes after skin-crawling footage emerged showing insects living in a person's eyelashes.
