The Ghanaian midfielder whose team lead by a goal to nil after the first leg tie was at the press conference ahead of the trip to Anfield.
Asked about how the dressing room looks like because of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Partey said it was not really up to the players.
"We are finding out stuff about what might happen here and there," Thomas Partey told reporters at the press conference.
"Obviously as a player, you want to play in front of supporters. But if it means playing without fans behind closed doors to lower the risk, then that is something that might happen.
"We have to concentrate on what we have to do, do our jobs well and achieve what we have to achieve."
Thomas Partey
Asked if he was in favour of postponing games or playing behind closed doors since players get the fans behind them at home, Partey continued:
“I don’t think it depends on the players. It depends on FIFA, UEFA and the people who organize these games. As players, I am here to try and help my team. If something happens off the field, I think I can’t do off the field but on the field.”
On the game against Liverpool, Thomas Partey continued:
"I think for us as players it is important that your teammates help you.
"Sometimes opinions of managers are their opinions. For us we are here to do our job and achieve what we want to achieve."
He admitted Liverpool had the quality but his team were aware and needed to stay together and work as a team.
The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 a pandemic.
