Egbegbe pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of theft. According to the reports, failure to meet the set bail will see Egbegbe remanded in jail.

The presiding Magistrate, A. J. Atunwa granted Egbegbe bail, with two sureties with at least N2 million in their bank accounts and property in Ikeja, Lagos.

She later adjourned the case until February 8, 2017.

As earlier reported, Egbegbe was beaten and arrested at Computer Village, Ikeja on Tuesday, November 22, for stealing 9 iPhones from one Keelcech Innovations Store.

Egbegbe released a statement addressing the news of his arrest, claiming to have been released and at home 'chilling'.

However, Pulse paid a visit to Computer Village and learnt that it was hardly the first time Egbegbe had been involved in stealing, alleging that he made use of charms.
