With over eight years away from the World Cup which will be hosted in Qatar, the designs for the first stadium to be built, in Al Wakrah, have been released.
The state-of-the-art stadium is designed to hold 40,000 spectators and is expected to be ready in 2018. The magnificent stadium got its architectural firm from the design of the “dhow” boat that Qataris traditionally used for pearl diving.
In fact, the stadium looks exactly like a v*g*na. Reuters report has it that the small, gas-rich country of Qatar plans to spend “$140 billion on a rail system, a new airport, a seaport, and hundreds of kilometers of new roads for the tournament, in addition to the stadiums that will host the matches.”
