How Ebony Reigns made and spent her money

The late Ghanaian rising star was among the highest earning musicians in the last quarter

She died in a car accident in the southern part of Ghana together with her soldier bodyguard, Atsu Vondee and her friend and make-up artist, Franky Kuri.

She was discovered by Bullet of Ruff N Smooth fame and her song “Poison” and “Kupe” were national hits.

The talented songstress was admired for her unique voice and lyrical prowess but also suffered criticism mostly for her style of fashion.

Her rise to prominence opened up great doors for her in the entertainment and she was almost on every bill

But how did she make her money?

She reaped some revenue from her shows and endorsements, which soared, with her rise to fame in the industry. According to the CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah, he was in talks with Ebony to sign her unto the label which would have increased the artistes net worth.

Revenue from the digital space for her songs and other copyright properties was also a source of income for the late musician.

She was unveiled as the brand ambassador for Hi5 Choco Malt, a new non-alcoholic drink by Kasapreko.

This is how she spent her money

One thing that is very clear is that Ebony spent some considerable portion of her income on her wardrobe considering her sense of fashion and taste for stylish dresses.

A series of WhatsApp messages released by her manager after her death revealed that she also did some philanthropic work for some orphanages.

Ebony was widely tipped by many to win the Artiste of the Year at the next Vodafone Ghana Music Award after having a successful year.
