The Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti regional Police Command, Juliana Obeng pleaded with the general public to be on the lookout for any suspicious person found with a five month old baby.

The Police in the Ashanti region are searching for a trader at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) junction in Kumasi.

The police is on a manhunt for the trader because she has kidnapped a 5-month old baby.

The mother of the baby narrated that she left the 5-month-old in the care of her 11-year-old daughter so she could attend to other customers.

She continued that the alleged baby thief approached her daughter to buy eggs and offered to carry the baby so she could attend to other customers.

Before they realised, the baby thief had bolted with the infant leaving the mother in a sad state.

Several attempts to trace the strange woman has proved futile.
