The Minister of Communications Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said the three networks will be sanctioned if they fail to ensure that telecom network connectivityis extended to Adaklu.

The Minister of Communications Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has said that some three telecommunications operating in Ghana will be sanctioned if they do not extend services to Adaklu in the Volta region within six months.

She mentioned this on the floor of Parliament on Tuesday (June 6, 2017).

Her response came after the MP for Adaklu Kwame Agbodza asked of the measures being put in place to ensure that the residents of Adaklu can have access to good network connectivity in the area.

The sector minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful responded that a number of measures have been rolled out to ensure that telecom network connectivity is extended to every rural community in the country.

She, however, said directed that Airtel, Glo and Expresso ensure their services are extended to Adaklu in the next six months or face sanctions.
