Jordan is currently one of Ghana’s best performers in Europe and has been scoring goals for fun at Crystal Palace.

The former Aston Villa marksman registered his eighth goal of the season on Saturday as Crystal Palace edged Watford 1-0 at the Selhurst Park.

The goal has made him Ghana’s joint-highest scorer in Premier League history with 24 goals – a record he holds alongside Tony Yeboah.

Yeboah scored his 24 Premier League goals in just 47 games during his two-year stint with Leeds United in the mid-1990s.

The 53-year-old, though, has reserved praise for Jordan and insists he is happy for the Crystal Palace striker’s form.

“I think his performance has been superb this year. He has really done well and looking at the current Black Stars squad, he is the one making the headlines in Europe particularly the premiership,” Yeboah told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“I’m very happy that Jordan is performing so well for his club.”

Meanwhile, Michael Essien and Asamoah Gyan also have 17 and 10 goals, respectively, in the Premier League.
