Andy Sullivan heads into the weekend with a one-shot lead in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship but a long delay due to fog prevented 60 players from finishing their second rounds on Friday.
Sullivan claimed three victories on the European Tour last year and is in the hunt to add another title at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club after carding a second successive five-under round of 67.
Bryson DeChambeau led by a shot after the first round and the American amateur is just a solitary stroke behind Sullivan as a result of making two birdies and a bogey in the nine holes of the second round that he was able to complete.
Englishman Sullivan started and finished his round with three birdies in a row after beginning his round at the 10th, with his only two bogeys of the week coming at the 15th and the fifth.

World number one Jordan Spieth slipped down the leaderboard to sit seven shots off the lead, with the American one over for the day through 13 holes after weather conditions led to play starting two hours and 45 minutes late.
Rory McIlroy will also need to make up some ground when he gets off to an early start on Saturday to complete his second round, having begun the day in third place but slipped to a share of ninth on five under after dropping a shot and failing to card a birdie in 13 holes.
Joost Luiten, Rafa Cabrera-Bello, Thomas Bjorn and Richard Bland are on seven under - with only the former pair able to finish their second rounds.
Spieth dropped shots at the fourth and fifth and had a huge stroke of luck on the ninth, when his tee shot was heading for the water until it struck a spectator on the backside and stayed in play.
