Makeup brushes should be cleaned often as leaving them riddled with dirts can cause blemishes and even more serious breakouts on the skin as dirty makeup brushes are breeding places for bacteria.

There are different ways to clean makeup brushes and applicators - while minding them so as not to ruin them in any way while trying to clean- Shampoos (mild ones) are safe for cleaning them as they get the left over makeup product out and are not harsh on them.
Its important not to soak in the brushes in soapy waster, wring the bristles or handle them roughly in any way. It's best to leave the brushes line on a clean surface to air-dry, so as not to spoil them amongst other factors.
