The 37-year-old star took home the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Queens frontman Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody . After delivering his acceptance speech, Malek fell off the stage and tumbled onto the audience area, where various people helped him up, according to People . Hey, it happens to the best of us.
After the fall, Malek was reportedly placed in a front-row seat, then moved somewhere backstage. Paramedics were called in to treat the actor.
Don't worry, folks: Malek's precious golden statue appears to be in tact-and so is Malek. People reported that the actor "did not show any outward signs of being injured" when he spoke in the press room afterward. We're guessing the incident was more shocking than it was physically damaging.
