An ex-Marine Donald Gould has captured hearts with his soulful playing of the piano.

The video which was posted early this month has gone viral and has racked up over 7.5 million views.

Gould has been homeless for the last seven years. "I went into the Marine Corps, played clarinet, went all over the world. I was in a symphonic band. But like I said, after the Marine Corps, I took a couple years off; had to go to work somewhere. But then I decided to go back to college, so I learned how to play every instrument, from the piccolo down to the tuba" said Gould.

Thanks to the video being a hit Gould has now been reunited with his son. The 51 year old who had drug problems hasn't seen his son since 1998 when he was 3, the year his mother died from morphine overdose.

“I want to thank my fathers, my brothers and sisters, and my mothers who came all the way to support me. I want to thank MTN Ghana Foundation—they gave me this wheelchair. God bless you.”

His son was removed from his custody and started living with his grandmother. "I’ve thought sometimes about it, of exactly where he might have been and what he might have been doing" said Donny who is now 18 years old after meeting his father.

Donald Gould has also gotten a make over from a Good Samaritan.
