Barcelona have confirmed that the deal to bring Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes to Camp Nou could rise to as much as €70million.
LaLiga champions Barca announced last week that an agreement has been reached with Valencia over the transfer of the 22-year-old and details of the deal have now been disclosed.
Barca will pay an initial fee of €35m for the versatile midfielder, potentially rising to €55m depending on the player and club's performances.
The deal between Valencia and the Camp Nou side also includes incentives worth up to €15m should Gomes bag multiple Ballons d'Or.
Gomes arrived in Barcelona on Tuesday to undergo the first part of his medical at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and is set to complete his move on Wednesday.
The former Benfica youngster will sign a five-year contract with Barcelona on Wednesday after completing the second part of his medical, with his deal containing a buyout clause of €100m.
