Tillakaratne Dilshan will play his final one-day international for Sri Lanka against Australia on Sunday after it was confirmed he would retire from the 50-over game.
The veteran opener has not played a Test since March 2013, but has remained a fixture of Sri Lanka's limited-overs sides.
However, his participation in ODIs is set to come to an end with the announcement on Thursday that the 39-year-old would step down from the 50-over set-up.
Dilshan has scored more than 10,000 runs from 329 ODIs at an average of 39.26, while he was part of the Sri Lanka sides that reached back-to-back World Cup finals in 2007 and 2011, losing both, to Australia and India respectively.

"Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to dedicate the third ODI to be played on Sunday 28th of August 2016 in Dambulla to honour the master batsman Dilshan for his invaluable contribution to his mother land," a Sri Lanka Cricket statement read.
The five-match series between Sri Lanka and Australia is level at 1-1 heading into Sunday's clash.
