Guard against complacency - Young Democrats to NDC

The group has called for the adoption of stringent campaign strategies which would reach out to potential electorates and also educate the public on the success story of the NDC government as the country goes to the polls.
 
 

A group calling itself the Young Democrats has cautioned the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) of the Northern Region to guard against complacency ahead of the November polls.

Meanwhile, President Mahama will visit the Northern Regional Capital Tamale with the last leg of his ‘Accounting to the People’ tour.

He is expected to pay a courtesy call on the Regent of Dagbon at Yendi .

President Mahama would also proceed to Saboba where he is expected to cut sod for construction of the Saboba Yendi road and then move to Chereponi where he would inspect the ongoing water projects and the construction of a Day Senior High Schools at Wapuli.

Speaking at a short press conference organised by the group on Tuesday July 12, 2016 ahead the tour, Secretary of the group, Musah Abdul Rahim urged supporters of the party to come out in their numbers to give the President a rousing welcome.

He also emphasised on the efforts of the group in canvassing for votes for the NDC party ahead of the November polls.

“Considering the grounds covered so far, we promised that the Northern region, considered, of the NDC’s ‘world banks’ will widen the gap between the votes cast for the party in the 2016 election as against that of the opposition New Patriotic Party”, he said
