The new arrangement will be piloted for three months at KIA before it is carried out at other entry points.
In a statement on Friday July 8, GIS said: “The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) wishes to bring to the attention of the general public that, with immediate effect, all African Union (AU) Nationals whose countries do not have a visa free agreement Ghana would be able to obtain visas on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport [KIA]."
“The current arrangement would be piloted at KIA for three months, and thereafter extended to all other entry points of the country,” the statement said.
To effectively carry it out, the Ghana Immigration Service has laid out some modalities:

He said: "With effect from July, AU member states can have people visit Ghana before applying for a visa within 30 days to experience our country"
