Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is 37 years old

The novelist, nonfiction writer and short story writer is regarded as one of the contemporary gems of African literature.

 

Today is the 37th birthday of celebrated Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

The novelist, nonfiction writer and short story writer is regarded as one of the contemporary gems of African literature.

In 2003 she released her first novel   and it was short listed in the Orange Prize For Fiction. Her second book brought her more fame and acclaim. It was adapted into a movie released in 2014 starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Thandie Newton.

In 2013, Beyonce featured Chimamanda's TEDx talk in her song 'Flawless'. In July it was revealed that Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is pregnant.
