Earlier, detective Chief Inspector Allan Burton said “Officers have been conducting door-to-door inquiries and we are gathering and reviewing CCTV footage to gain additional information as part of this ongoing investigation.

“A young woman has lost her life. If anyone has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please do pass it on to police.

“Any small piece of information could prove vital."
