In the clip, a woman is seen lying on an examination table as a medical professional attempts to tweeze the larvae from the inside of her mouth.
The woman doesn't appear to be in pain as the maggot is pulled from her lips and simply lies still as her doctor carries out the procedure.
It is not clear where the footage was filmed or how the maggot got inside the woman's lip in the first place.
