Man Beheads Brother Over 'Akpeteshie'

A 32-year-old man killed his brother over an alcohol.

A 32 year old KwameGyedu, has been killed by his elder brother, KwadwoAsare a 40 year old at Nkenkaasu in the Offinso North District in the Ashanti Region.

According to the family, the two brothers yesterday had one of their usual quarrels over alcohol and each one threatened the other.

However, Kwame Gyedu woke up in the middle of the night trying to go out and urinate but found out the door had been locked outside.

Gyedu who thought his brother was behind the act after urinating, broke into his junior brother's room and butchered him to death with a cutlass he was weilding.

The killer Kwame Asare has since absconded and information reaching the police indicates that he is hiding around Derma in the Brong Ahafo region.

The Nkenkaasu police have now taken over the matter and the body has been deposited at the Nkenkaasu Government hospital morgue.
