The 67-year-old decided to take the cash value and walk away with a net check of $125,396,690 after required withholdings.

Mr. Bailey said the numbers were given to him by a family member and he has since been playing the same numbers for nearly three decades.

"A family member gave me the numbers over 25 years ago and I faithfully play them," he said, as quoted by CNN.

"I said to myself, 'these look like my numbers.' I tried to remain calm and sat down to watch some shows I had on my DVR. I didn't sleep the rest of the night," he narrated how he felt after discovering he had won.

Mr. Bailey further revealed that he will continue to play the same numbers and hope that he wins again at some point.

"[I plan to] do the right thing with the money,” he said, adding that "Yes, I will continue playing my numbers until this train runs out”.

The total prize in the October 27 drawing was $687 million, which Mr. Bailey will split with a woman in Iowa who also won.
