What is more important, wealth or education

"To be successful, you must spend more time on yourself than you do on your job".

Education helps you develop your character and talents. Well educated people tend to be more liberal, and they are more open to new ideas and to new experiences. They are more likely to be free thinkers, and knowing 2 or more languages is a valuable thing.

However, being well educated does not guarantee wealth. In times like these there are plenty of people with doctorates in literature working as cashiers at Best Buy.

Wealth gives you a much broader range of choices than being poor does. It opens many doors for you that would otherwise be closed. It also gives you power - power to help change the world for the better, or if you prefer, power to topple a government.

You can have anything that money can buy.

From all that, I'd have to say that education is more important than wealth. Wealth allows you to buy what you "want", but education allows you to better understand what you "need" to live a better quality life as evidenced by the many benefits you can get from an education that money can't buy.

Also, I thought it was pretty funny that this was how wealth was used in a sentence in a dictionary lol: "great wealth is not a sign of great intelligence".
