  • In a new Instagram video , Dr. Pimple Popper tackles a pilar cyst that looks like a little dumpling.

This is one dumpling you wont want to devour. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD pops a shumai pilar cyst out of a patients scalp. The cyst explodes during the removal, leading it to resemble an open-topped dumpling. Delectable.

A little pilar cyst shumai for you, Dr. Lee wrote in the videos description.

In the clip, Dr. Lee loosens the cyst with scissors and then attempts to squeeze the sizable growth out of a small incision. When trying to squeeze the encapsulated cyst free, the growth bursts under the pressure of the famed derm's fingers. Thats how the pilar cyst gets its dumpling nickname, referring the its open, exploded top and rounded dumpling-like bottom.

This shumai isnt filled with delicious savory filling. Not even close. Pilar cysts are growths on the scalp that contain excess keratin , which is the protein that makes up your hair and nails. This certainly isn't dim sum.

Notably, someone in the room is eating snacks while this extraction takes place, which is incredibly impressive given there is minor surgery occurring in the same room. Chances are this pop will ruin your appetite for quite a while.
