NBA legend Kobe Bryant has confirmed that he will be retiring at La Lakers.

The 37-year old entered the NBA directly from high school, and has played for the Lakers his entire career, winning five NBA championships.

His future has been the subject of speculation ahead of the new 2015-16 season but Kobe has reiterated that he has no interest in leaving the Lakers to chase a championship with another organization.

"If it is, it is," Bryant told ESPN when he was asked if this is his last season.

“I don't spend too much time thinking about it. I've got enough to think about."

With just one championship ring to match the record of Michael Jordan, it has been speculated that he could join another side where he can win his sixth ring.

"A lot of players want to go to different teams or contend to win championships. I'm a Laker, man. I'm a Laker for better or worse," Bryant told Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.
