Yvonne Nelson opens up about how her mum reacted to her pregnancy

According to her, when she did a pregnancy test and it came out that she was pregnant, the hard part for her was to inform her mum about it.

"I waited for my mum she had just returned from a trip, I remember telling her I was pregnant and she was shocked and her first words were but you are not married and I replied back yes mum I know and then it was a long conversation," he said.

She also noted that her mum is very “traditional” who would prefer marriage before child birth.

However, when she became pregnant, her mum’s priority changed.

She became more concerned about the baby, she noted.

”My mum, she used to be so big on marriage, she was very traditional, marriage then baby until I got pregnant, its like everything changed, I guess your priority obviously changes to something else. She is now more concerned about the baby," she said.

She also noted that her mum does pressure her anymore to get married.

“She doesn’t put pressure on my anymore with marriage you know, like its it not like I am engaged or married or something, it’s just that when it happens, it happens. As a woman, you cannot marry yourself,” he noted.
